- Thread-topic: Lowering total ink coverage in a CMYK separation
Ok thanks! We have recently purchased it and are seeing how to best
implement it into our workflow. We are a repro company who produce files
and proofs for both Offset and Gravure printers. Previously we have
converted to RGB in whatever colour space was needed ie: ISO39L or
Gravure LWC. Now we would like to work in one colour space and possibly
convert to Gravure at PDF stage if needed. But we are a little
inexperienced in this area! It will mean we will need to convert all our
old Gravure spec images to ISO before implementing any new workflow. Any
pointers to some good reference material would be appreciated!

It's an awesome solution at an equally awesome price tag. :-)
Products like GMG ColorServer/INK Optimizer, ORIS PressMatcher/Ink
Saver and Alwan CMYK Optimizer fall into another category entirely in
terms of sophistication and expense. These are products to build an
entire workflow around.
