With "100" meaning all colors will be compressed (if necessary),
and "0" meaning all will be clipped (if necessary)? So that
perceptual set to "0" basically is relative colorimetric?
Not quite!
"100" is standard compression ("traditional" perceptual RI)
"0" is very strong compression along the gamut surface – no
clipping, and mostly colorimetric inside the gamut. The compression
ratio thus defines the "thickness" of the compressed area along the
gamut surface and the size of the "colorimetric core". The dynamic
range will always be compressed like in perceptual or relcol with BPC.
That sounds even better. :-)
