Quark's color management still leaves much to be desired, in my opinion. In the testing I did, the most disturbing thing to me was that I could initiate color transforms that I couldn't control. I could trip a color transform in InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, and Heidelberg PDFToolBox; then I could recreate it in Photoshop. Heidelberg's product uses a different CMM, but the results were close enough to leave me feeling comfortable. Quark's results were a kind of "mystery meat". Combine that with the goofy interface and well...
I wish Quark would ask some questions of end users. As much as I like what Adobe is doing, I'd like to have another player in the game.
