Hello. I have a question about the Creo Eversmart Supreme II flatbed
scanner. I¹ve searched the internet, asked a service engineer, and reviewed
tons of material but can¹t seem to get a straight-forward answer.
What I am trying to find out is whether this scanner has an optical zoom. I
know the lens ³does² move, but it¹s unclear if this is for the purpose of
zoom or simply part of the auto-focus feature. I know there is an x-y
stitching feature which will make multiple passes and stitch the scans
together into a single scanned image, but it¹s unclear if scans are always
at the same zoom or not (for a given output DPI). I have done some MTF tests
by scanning line pairs and the results seem to indicate that there is not an
optical zoom, but I want to make sure that I have not missed something.
So, if anyone has experience with this scanner or knows for sure one way or
another, I would really appreciate the input. Thanks!
