Hi Ken,
The Eversmart shows some siginifacant similarities with the Microtek
ArtixScan 6000xy in case of enclusure, software and specs (I have attached a
manual to an eMail directly to your address). I´m not sure if the units have
been or are still produced at Microtek´s labs in Taiwan, but the Software
for the XY was an unlabeled Creo Software when i´ve tested the 6000xy back
in 2003 (maybe Microtek manufactured the units for Creo and was allowed to
sell the unit in some territories under Microteks brand, too) The Microtek
(and the Creo counterpart) didn´t had an adaptive lens system these days. I
doubt that it makes sense for a x/y stitching system to have a lens that
creates different results with the different stripes it scans. But maybe
technology has improved.
Best regards
Raimar
