Hi Roger,
you wrote:
I'm amazed at how much value is in the Color Munki web site.
For instance, see http://www.colormunki.com/munsell for a very nice
implementation of the famous Munsell system, used by all colorists of the
world.
While you're there, don't miss
http://www.colormunki.com/pantone?class=palette_page_nav_link for an equally
nice construction of the Goe system, the successor to the solid coated color
system.
Sehr shoën.
Those two sections of the site are geared towards the studies of harmonies
and color palettes development. But, for instance, if you look at the
Munsell section, additional drop-down menus at the bottom of the screen
allow for some experimenting with the concept of out-of-gamut colors.
Adobe Kuler represents a stunning web development but PANTONE's Munki site
deserves equal recognition, in my view.
Thanks for the links. Another cool site (you probably already know it)
does similar things the other way round:
<http://labs.ideeinc.com/multicolr/>. You pick up to 10 colors (although
not in the Munsell system) and it finds corresponding photos from flickr
or alamy in no time at all. Impressive.
Klaus
