Well I was staying off this last discussion series, but there is a continuing area of research that I am following. What is th best color Monitor for under $1,800. La Cie has a new 700 series that feature LEDs
and they indicate these displays exceed Adobe 1998 RGB color space. Their monitor 724 looks like a new bench mark for proofing.
I am not talking prepress, but photoshop screen pre proof prior to finished edits, and high quality printing. New Epson inks have greater gamit than the Adobe color space, depending on media. My Imac Intel cannot approximate either screen brightness or saturation, effectively. Also in the mix ate the Ezio CG222W and La Cie 324, and the new NEC LCD 2690 WUXi2, all are around $1,400. Anyone have opinions based on use?

Members,

I haven't received ANY posts for several days and the last post on the website for this forum was the
10th November! Have you all found a life?!

Seriously, I would like to suggest something that is a bit off- topic, or at least not specific to colour
management. While the content is informative, often vital, I find the format of this forum a bit 'clunky'
compared to others. It has a good following of enthusiasts so I cannot understand why Apple hasn't
upgraded it to something more... intuitive and functional. Some of you will also be subscribers to the
Print Planet forum of which I was an early subscriber. It was 'upgraded' and now has a far more
functional interface. What say you Apple?

What say all ye faithful subscribers? Is anyone at Apple looking on? Is anyone out there at all? I'm all
alone in this room and I feel like nobody's listening (not unusual)!!

Helloooo!!

Mark

Well, it is a mailing list -- no web forum primarily. And I'm perfectly
satisfied with it. Everyone can determine how intuitive and functional
it is on his own behalf. It only depends on the capabilities of his mail
client and the setup of folders and filters.

Hey Mark,

That's a good suggestion and, no, you're not alone in this room.

Lot's of things keep happening all the time in this wonderful world of color
that would be worthwhile bringing up for discussion, here, in this forum. I
will usually bring ideas of my own or comment on new hardware like the color
Munki that's all the craze these days. But, I must admit, I've been under
the weather lately and, yes, I am still looking for a life, thank you ;-)

BTW, there is a nice iSis XL for sale on eBay these days. And a shoën ADS
FieldSpec spectroradiometer which is being offered, get this, for a mere
$20,000 USD. How could anyone pass up such a once in a life time opportunity
;-)

Thank's for waking us up!
