Peter,
This isn't a big issue but your email is a perfect example of the
cumbersome management of
exchanges I am talking about. Because it was address to me it came
to my inbox but not to the forum
as you didn't CC the forum (like Roger did).
Always a pain, the "reply" behavior of this list. I always just "reply
all" and then delete the original poster.
Klaus likes to manage his email locally but for me I don't want to
waste my disk space with this stuff. It
is always accessible online which, these days, is almost everywhere.
Escaping my email is a bigger
problem than accessing it. Apart from that I don't have to worry
about synchronising it or deleting stuff
I didn't want to.
Why don't you keep your email on the server instead of local? That's
the one thing I like about my .Mac/Mobile Me mail, or any IMAP
accounts for that matter.
On the PrintPlanet forum I have tracked down posts made ages ago
just by looking up a topic. If I can't
rememeber the topic it's probably not worth remembering anyway!!
I used to be a frequent contributor to PrintPlanet but haven't gotten
on board with the new forum look. I personally rather have the posts
brought to me (email) rather than making a special effort to go to the
forums.
I liken it to having my pizza delivered to my door rather than having
drive to the "carry out". :-)
Regards,
Terry
