Edmund,
I understand these theoretical issues (spikiness and the like).
What I am hoping for is an expert opinion on whether such potential issues
are actually real enough to make the EyeOne Pro demonstrably unfit for
monitor calibration of certain monitor display types, like CCFT-backlit
ones, or those with monochrome LEDs.
My point being that if the EyeOne Pro can be used for these tasks, then one
need not acquire a colorimeter tuned for wider-gamut displays.
