A word of caution: even the relatively small gamut of US Web Coated (SWOP) v2 (to mention just one of the most common print output spaces) is noticeably wider than sRGB in areas of Cyan and Green. In other words, working in sRGB could possibly sacrifice some color brilliance in those areas in the final print that could have been preserved by working in a wider RGB space (such as AdobeRGB, for example).

Of course, if the original image has no significant areas of saturated color in those regions, then sRGB is fine.
