In working with a number of clients I've seen a wide variety of terms
being used for different kinds of proofs/prints and wondered what the
prevailing opinion was as to the "proper" usage or definition of them
were.
For instance what term is the accepted term for a cross rendered
print a photographer may produce on his Epson printer? I've heard
some call it a "Guide Print" and others call it a "Hard Proof", and
still others just refer to it as a "Proof". What do you folks think
is the right term?
And how would you define the terms listed above as well as terms such
as "Contract Proof" or "SWOP Certified Proof"?
Thanks!
Dennis Dunbar
