Hi all,
I have created a ICC matrix profile for my camera with a profiling
tool but the generated profile does not work with OS X Preview (I can
assign it to a picture but nothing happens) and under PhotoShop the
profile does not even appear in the list (looks like PS does some
validation on the profiles). Using the open source LCMS library I am
able to apply the profile to an image and render the result.
I opened the profile with ColorSync Utility and see the it has
negative values for the "Red colorant tristimulus" Y (-0,005) and Z
(-0,000).
Hum, this is wrong - right? How can the primaries have negative values?
Until the profiling tool fixes this, I am thinking if I can just
"shrink" the profile enough so that no values are negative.
Can someone tell me what would be the correct way to do this retaining
the overall color balance.
Regards
Mark
