Try Schoellershammer Velvet. I've found it has a better Dmax than most
others I tried with a pigment black ink.

I thought there might be a few of you out there that would be
interested in the Dmax values I have measured from mostly matt
papers, using the new Epson K3 Vivid Magenta inkset. Since the depth
of the black is a major factor in determining the depth and richness
of a print, I am testing various papers to find the ones I will
ultimately use with this new inkset. The measurements were made with
an X-Rite 811 Reflection/Transmission densitometer (calibrated, of
course).
