I just got back from Photokina.
The software linked to here doesn't work with i1 Pro.
Unprofiled, my monitor has slight magenta/green zoning.
I've set the color temp to 5K, and the lulinosity to 120 candelas,
profiled with i1match, and think I get a green color cast; the
neutrals aren't right. I'm fairly certain of that because I've checked
against files I've printed, which do match my Eizo CG210.
I'm going to try and dig out another i1 tomorrow and try again. The
one I used had its glass-filter-head detach so I don't have much
confidence in it at this point either.
The gamut of this thing is spectacular, but I am not sure this sample
will be usable for real work. How much of this is due to operator
incompetence, and how much to possible transport damage remains to be
seen.
I wish HP would do the proper thing and bundle a matched colorimeter
with each screen, as well as software to test it, including for
uniformity. I also wish I could do something about my IQ, it's pretty
obvious that I must be getting Alzheimer's if U can't even manage to
set up a screen.
