Joseph,
FOGRA39 is derived from ISO 12647-2:2004/Amd 1, paper type 1 or 2.
ISO12647-2 states:
PT 1: 95 (+-3), 0 (+-2), -2 (+-2), *65% (+-5%), White backing
PT 2: 94 (+-3), 0 (+-2), -2 (+-2), *38% (+-5%), White backing
*Gloss, ISO 8254-1 TAPPI
If making relative colorimetric proofing the paper should match these
numbers spot on. If L>95 there's room for laying down ink to match
paper white a and b. Thus, using absolute colorimetric proofing. If
L<95 its not suitable for proofing PT 1&2.
