I've been using the OBC module but I don't use the visual Munsell gray cards. Instead I measure with my X-Rite 530 in LCH to determine the patch with the lowest chroma. I've found that works extremely well for RGB profiles and is less subjective. I haven't had to edit a profile in months, even on the blue, bright white papers that often needed a yellow reduction. The profiles are extremely neutral and the best colour matching I have seen to date.

Wouldn't that depend on the 530 having the same amount of UV as your viewing conditions? I don't know anything about the X-Rite 530, but if it had more or less UV in it's illuminant than your viewing conditions wouldn't it report the lowest chroma on a different patch than you would visually find most neutral?

I'm glad it works for you, but isn't it just a lucky break? Or does the 530 have some special properties?
