Hello List Members,
I'm normally a silent listener but I've got a purchasing decision to make
for my Color Department at work and wanted specific user feedback.
I've narrowed down my choices to two NEC models:
1.) MultiSync P221W (Spectraview II Professional series)
2.) MultiSync 2490WUXI2-BK (MultiSync 90 Professional series)
In the past some list members have expressed that the MultiSync P221W
(Spectraview II Professional series) has some issues with shifting angles
and consistency. However, I haven't heard anything about the same issue with
the MultiSync 2490WUXI2-BK (MultiSync 90 Professional series).
Does anyone have either monitor? Can you offer some feedback about which one
you would choose?
There is a price difference between the two and I'm guessing the more
expensive model is better, but perhaps the difference is insignificant.
If someone knows of another make or model they think is superior please feel
free to offer up that solution as well. Side note: Eizo monitors (the dream)
aren't within our budget.
For reference, we are screen color oriented only (online video game using
real photos) and don't use them for pre-press purposes.
