I suspect Peter's suggestion to move to a BlackMagic RIP is a good
suggestion.

Personally, I don't know of any proofing RIP (AGFA Apogee?) that will do,
out of the box, what you're after, efficiently, unless you send jobs
pre-separated from your RAMPAGE or Dalim or Prinergy or Nexxus or
MetaDimensions workflow system. That's how I'd try this if I was in your
shoes, knowing what you've tried already.
