Hi Roger...
>>Presently, the Munki software requires paper size large enough for accommodating all of its 50 color samples in one lump, for reading in strips.
Sooo...how big a sheet of paper are we talking about here? My guess is at least letter sized (US 8.5x11")?
>>But it's not inconceivable, in my opinion, that in a close future, the software will also have an option for splitting the target onto multiple smaller page sizes, provided the target be read in patch mode by the user.
Seems a reasonable assumption/improvement...
>>What printer are you using, if I may ask?
Epson 4000.
The reason I ask about target size is that I often print on 7x10" cardstock (5x7 folded) and while I currently have an excellent paper profile for the Strathmore Creatve Cards cardstock--done by Cathy's Profiles--I have other cardstock that I don't have profiles for and have been considering buying my own paper profiling system. I hadn't even considered limitations on paper size until I read something somewhere--can't remember where so I can't doublecheck it--that the ColorMunki requires at least letter-sized sheets.
While I am not going to buy a profiling package tomorrow, I do hope to be able to do that in the next few months and the ColorMunki won't be on my list of possibles if it is limited to letter-sized paper.
Thanks!
Terrie
