patches
to choose from. Any one else seen this yet?
I had just downloaded ColorNavigator yesterday and had NOT noticed
that, so I immediately ran a validation to GRACoL on my Eizo CG211.
It's pretty interesting how it actually runs Photoshop or Acrobat to
produce the patches...
Unfortunately I got terrible results! My max dE was 21.8 (100% cyan,
0, 0, 0), and ALL the patches with 100% cyan were over 8! Yikes. I've
tried various validation routines to GRACoL in the past and the cyan
heavy patches are always out, but this is REALLY out. I've always
known that cyan can't be accurately produced on a monitor so it makes
me wonder what the point of this validation routine is. It also makes
me wonder how soft proofing systems can be "certified" to GRACoL (http://www.swop.org/certification/monitorList.asp
). I guess cyan and cyan heavy greens don't matter?
Anybody else try to validate to GRACoL? Is my monitor way out of line?
