Regarding the excessive brightness of the displays, I have installed
Shades on a G5 with brand new 20 in Apple display.
After testing and practicing Shades on my own MBP 17 in with LED
backlight, I installed and profiled the clients Apple display.
Using Shades to get an idea of the luminance value, I then profiled
the Apple without Shades, Then using Shades, I reduced the luminance
to the desired value.
Now, anyone having other suggestions on using Shades, please, please
advise me.
Both the Apple display as well as my MBP 17 in with LED backlight,
have the diverging lines when using i1 Match with i1 Pro as the
hardware/software tool for the custom .icc profile.
