Hi Peter,
You might want to look at the Eizo CG211 instead of the 241. It's
smaller and more expensive and it's an older generation, but it is
the best monitor I've seen for side to side viewing consistency. I
have a NEC 2490WUXi, which is pretty similar to the CG 241 (certainly
no better), and definitely gets darker from a non 90 degree view.
I've heard that the newer generation screens were attempting to
improve video quality, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Haven't
looked at any HP Dreamworks monitors, but someone else here could no
doubt advise you about them.

Hi list users.
I would appreciate your help. We work with photographers from our
fine arts dept. preparing and making prints for exhibition.
We currently use a workstation with an Eizo CG241W with a GTI viewing
booth to prepare files and make prints. We are often in situations
where we are working with the photographer, so have both people
viewing the workstation monitor. However with our Eizo, we find that
the horizontal viewing angle is so narrow for critical viewing that
only one person at a time can really see accurate image tone and
color with any confidence.
I am wanting to change the monitor to something that has the same
color performance of the Eizo, but with horizontal viewing angle
suitable two-person viewing.
Do list members have any recommendations / experience with monitors
that are suitable for this?
You help appreciated
Peter Miles
