Though I agree that something must be done to prevent the occurrence of moiré with fabrics, knowing that it will occur (thanks to a dot proof) doesn't correct the issue in and of itself.  Once detected, what are we talking about to correct a moiré? AM angle adjusment, detail-degrading image editing, or both (anything else), followed by another round of proofs?

I'd personally opt for contone proofs for their color accuracy demand FM/non-periodic screening on press.

(Ill refrain from calling a critically color accurate halftone proof that *accurately* predicts moiré using precise press screening an oxymoron.). ;)
