Ken,
You can try looking on the IDEAliance site for this webinar; I just tried
for a few minutes and found nothing.
Maybe someone in the IDEAlliance group will recall who did these tests.
As for your report, you can always reference a "Personal communication", or
refer to the PatchTool Help manual, Section 3.4.1 (Factors which can affect
display measurements).

I believe it happens -- I didn't question it. I'm writing up some internal
documentation for calibrating monitors and I am introducing the warm up
time, which is not something that anyone here currently does. I am looking
for some outside reference(s) to demonstrate/document the need for it. I
could easily do that test myself, but I find it helpful when introducing a
change to the workflow to have outside references to validate the
decision.

Ken,
This was mentioned in an IDEAlliance webinar about the development of
their
proofing certification.
It is also my personal experience that this helps.
You can check that yourself by placing the i1 on the display, calibrate
it
(in emission mode) and measure the dark response (i.e. measure the
emission
of a black paper (and not the monitor which can also change while
heating);
you just remove the i1 from the display for the measurement. Replace the
monitor on the display, wait a few minutes and repeat. You will see that
the
i1 response will drift. This is not surprising and is typical of any
sensor
but by doing this you maximize the accuracy in the darker shades.
