Understood. What I described isjust a quick way to confirm that things are
going as expected (or not) if the new hard copy proof doesn¹t match the
client supplied proof. In this case, you don¹t truly know of the SWOP v2
profile was ³honored² in any way or not within their workflow. The
presumption is that it was not, and therefore your solution should work. But
if there were multiple conversions, perhaps converting from SWOPv2 to a
custom/currupt printer profile while simulating another printing
device...well, the term ³hosed² comes to mind. ;)
