Get some canned profiles for the same papers off the Epson site, and compare.
I've never been a particular fan of the x800, I believe the x880
series was introduced quickly precisely because of gamut issues.
On the other hand, you might do well to check the print path with
which the i1 targets were printed; and also the general print path.
>From what is whispered behind certain closed doors, doing all one's
printing from Photoshop remains the preferred way of doing things for
those who don't have a RIP ...
