Hi Graeme,
i´ve showed inter instrument agreement only between the EyeOnes, Spyder3s
and DTP94s, not against the Minoltas. The Minoltas are used for comparison
and for reference only. But here are some simplified numbers - averaged from
10 devices that are quite close to each other - against the CS2000 for your
records. To trace the real behavior, there have been no device corrections
used.
All Values: Kelvin/Nits/X/Y/Z
72% NTSC S-IPS with CCFL BLU
Reference Measurement 5101 121 118 121 105
DTP94 5048 115 110 115 94
Spyder3 4810 117 113 117 91
EyeOne D2 4821 114 112 114 93
EyeOne Pro 5040 118 113 118 98
92% NTSC S-PVA with CCFL BLU
Reference Measurement 5163 124 121 124 110
DTP94 4641 130 130 130 107
Spyder3 5120 134 132 134 122
EyeOne D2 4911 130 126 129 107
EyeOne Pro 5060 130 126 130 111
102% NTSC S-IPS with CCFL BLU
Reference Measurement 5222 120 114 120 102
DTP94 4570 117 115 117 88
Spyder3 5137 115 109 115 95
EyeOne D2 4351 115 116 115 86
EyeOne Pro 5034 121 116 121 100
108% NTSC S-IPS with RGB-LED BLU
Reference Measurement 5081 122 117 122 102
DTP94 4546 120 119 120 93
Spyder3 5074 117 112 117 98
EyeOne D2 4709 115 114 115 93
EyeOne Pro 4934 119 115 119 97
We can see, that the DTP94 - without any question - generally needs a lot of
corrections for Wide Gamut Displays as the deviation to the reference is
huge. But the EyeOne D2 and Spyder3 also need corrections - however, the
deviations are not so big. But, the D2 really falls behind on the 102% NTSC
S-IPS unit. I´ve retested that 4 times to be sure, but the spectra of the
102% NTSC S-IPS unit´s BLU creates a lot of issues at least for the EyeOne
D2 samples i´ve used.
Bye
Raimar
