New Apple iMac LED monitors

Perhaps this is premature, but has anyone had the opportunity to calibrate one of the new iMacs, the 21.5 and 27 inch LED units?

Can the luminance be controlled?

Are they any better than the previous glossy screens that were somewhat difficult to control?
