Yes, GIMP does everything image-based that I want or need. I'm not looking
to do this professionally but I do want to do it well. As I said, I'm
getting good image control from it so no trouble there. I've dabbled with
the gutenprint driver but I find the proprietary printer drivers to be much
better than the open source community's efforts to emulate them. Over time
that may and probably will change but right now I haven't been able to get
anything satisfactory out of it.
