Yes, this is very annoying. I do not know what their reasoning is either.
One option is to use the Adobe Color Print Utility. However, since this
requires saving the file to a TIFF anyway, why not just open the TIFF
directly into Onyx Print Manager, and print it? This gives your client
the advantage of using the Onyx Preflight utility if they wish to make
adjustments to the image.
Even easier, help them setup a Hotfolder with whatever quickset they use
to print their jobs. No extra utilities required.
