I'm not sure if this is relevant, but could the difference seen by the
various people here have anything to do with the TYPE of display profile
that you are using on your system? Could this be a case of Word not
supporting LUT based profiles, but only matrix based ones (the same
limitation that Adobe Lightroom has)?
