(a) What profile is assigned to the image is irrelevant if you want to print
without converting your file to any intermediate color space, as long as you
can select that assigned profile as an output profile as well. If RGB
working spaces are not selectable in Aperture's print dialog box, then
select the same profile as the one that you assign to the file. Remember, it
doesn't matter which one: as long as source and destination are the same,
any will do.
(b) If no profile is assigned to the image/testchart, you can assign one of
the (RGB?) profiles selectable for output in the print dialog box.

No sense trying to "match" things in this fashion. The routine I am
describing does that already.
