The easiest way to get better repeatability out of a measuring
instrument is to reduce the precision of the reporting of the results :

Bear in mind that you are not really measuring accuracy, you are
measuring measurement repeatability. You cannot know how accurate it
is until you measure something that is known.
Both these instruments could be 10de out when measuring colours that
are a way from the calibration tile.
