The biggest concern with out-of-date ink is the settling of any
particulates that would normally be suspended.

If it prints fine, and dries fine, it probably won't effect longevity. I
would, however, gently rock back and forth any old cartridges that you
use, longer than usual, to make sure the ink remains "well mixed".
