Hi Brian
You have some useful suggestions to try from others. I had a similar
problem under Snow Leopard. For me it eventually seemed to require a reset
of the print system via the system preferences panel. I then had to add
back printers. I don't think I had information on the caches which other
people have provided. If you have lots of printers I guess this would be
very inconvenient but I include my experience in case you have no luck with
other options.
