Many of us are familiar with HDR.
I don't need to look closer at my images.

If you make a genuinely linear capture of a scene and the luminance is contained within the histogram on all channels, I cannot see an advantage in creating an HDR file. (Except as I stated, you might reduce shadow noise, but I would have thought there were better ways)

I am happy to have my mind changed.
