The patent application, No. 20100090930, describes their invention,
which is something I have expected since we switched from CRT to LCD
technologies.

Wonder what Liquavista has to say about that patent. Its electrowetting
display technology based on Philips patents includes subtractive CMY
versions.
While discussing CMY displays with my son we wondered how long it would
take to create dedicated video driver soft- and hardware for CMY
displays that will not be based on dirty conversions of existing RGB
solutions.
