Nikon has one, and Lacia had one, back in the 50ies ;-)
But in earnest, have you ever seen a REAL D50 light booth, lamp,
backlight?
You are absolutely right: There is only one D50, exactly defined
spectrally. It has a correlated color temperature of 5000K. But it´s a
theoretical definition which cannot be reproduced in real life. So,
all incarnations of D50 are deficient – and different. Just look at 2
lightboxes from GTI and JUST side by side. They both are "D50" and
they both look different. So, we should really speak of correlated
color teperature 5000K and this is hard enough to obtain.

Well then, please explain. I learned that there is only one D50
which is
very specifically defined. There are, however, many light sources
with a
5000K correlated color temperature, of which D50 is one.

If anybody on the list should think that there is only ONE D50, I´m
prepared to explain further ;-)
