Not a webbrowser but ...when Mike Chaney of Qimage added a profile
substitute feature for untagged images he went for AdobeRGB as the
default first. With good arguments from the users he changed that to
sRGB. Not only is it the most likely space that should have been
assigned to the majority of images but also the best compromise for
images from (older) non CM applications. In Qimage there are however
more settings possible for that feature: 1 EXIF profile guessing or not,
2 assign a profile or not and 3rd another profile choice if the sRGB
default isn't what the user wants. Of course with CM-OFF it will not
assign a space either so profile targets pass unaffected :-)
