Does anyone ever go to the trouble of trying to match the SNAP 2007 data set when fingerprinting in the newspaper industry or is it just common practice to match SIDS and solid L*a*b*s etc.
I am doing a color audit for a newspaper that has paid an individual to bring their presses in line with SNAP and the SIDS and solid L*a*b*s and such are a very good match but when I compare characterization data from that run to the SNAP data set, it is not even in the ballpark. This individual even compared a 2d gamut map to SNAP and it fit rather well. I am in new territory (Newspaper industry) here for me and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
