Hi,
I'd be very careful of the easy mode, problems with the eye one will not show up. In my experience ( we sell Eye One Displays ), if it breaks then measuring the white point is where you see the problem. All RGB sensors have to be working correctly for it to adjust to a particular white value.
The problem with Easy Mode is that there is no calibration step. This is where the white point, brightness and gamma are set to a target.
Sometimes the diagnostics show this, but normally the white point check is how we test whether the device is working or not.
