Pardon me if something like this has been previously discussed:
i1 Isis spectro will not communicate with Colorport. I read and followed the Xrite "Connecting a Rev E Isis to a Computer" instructions off their website with no luck. I tried it with a Macintosh (MacBook running 10.5.8) and a PC running Windows XP (Version 2002, Service Pack3 with latest updates). Also I tried both Colorport versions 1.5.4 & 2.0.1.
Macintosh: When I plug the Isis in, the OS prompt says "Connected." The minute I start Colorport, it says "Disconnected" from the OS prompt and in Colorport. If I quit Colorport, the Isis connects again.
Yes, I copied the version 2.5.1 Isis.Frameworks folder into Colorport and followed the restart/plug in/power up routine.
PC: Similar to Mac in that Windows says the Isis is connected and working properly. Opening Colorport gives a "Disconnected" in the program when the Isis target is applied. The strange thing about the PC side is that when I close the lid on the laptop, instead of going to sleep, a System Standby Failure error comes up and it says, "Device driver for i1Isis is preventing standby. Quit all applications and if problem persists, update the driver."
I have unistalled Colorport, deleted all Isis drivers and started over but I cannot get rid of this error. The Task manager says no application is running and the Process tab shows no Isis driver type activity.
I actually had this working once. When I hooked my ES-1000 spectro in with the Isis in the other port, all the trouble started. The Xrite Device Manager says the device is not connected with the box checked.
Any help would be appreciated.
