Please correct me if I am wrong. We live in a D50 world. ICC color matches,
Photoshop, everything is meant to breathe D50. For the past, what, 20 years,
"graphic arts" spectrophometers have never been available with a light
source with the SPD of D50, with all its potential ensuing visual
mismatches, regardless of susbtrate characteristics. With the introduction
of M1 instruments, regardless of its current implementation, I believe we
have a way to make a step forward in getting that end-to-end D50 solution.
Just-Normlicht has the Color Communicator LED that can produce good D50
illumination -- no comparison with fluorescent lamps.
Seems to me we're making progress, no?
Roger
