Hi Jim,
I am using the same iOS 4.3.5 as you for testing.
About DropBox, if you use it to sync your picture to iPad, you will get different results compared to the ones I’ve showed on my web page, using iTune synchronization.
iTune is doing a conversion if there is an embedded ICC profile in the picture. Dropbox leave the picture as is but does not use or understand the embed profile.
