OSX 10.6.6 and Epson 2200 Printer

I have a colleague who just purchased an iMac 27 inch running system 10.6.6 Intel core i3. He is now unable to print to his Epson Stylus Photo 2200 with his previous level of control out of Photoshop CS3. He has attempted to install the new Epson driver but keeps getting Gutenprint as his only printing software option. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Feel free to email me off list. Any help is much appreciated!
