I missed this little tidbit in Jan-Peter's comment.
We have been looking at many issues within the ICC. I have enlisted the
aid some industry experts to generate some scene referred test images
and some probe profiles to test for display calibration issues and input
profile issues. This work should be completed during June and I will
report back to this list. If anyone has any suggestions for test
images, or profiles, or have any other positive useful feedback. I
welcome it. Write to me at tlianzaATxRiteDOTcom.
The "wiki" at the ICC website is a great idea and I will discuss this
with Phil Green our technical secretary and manager of the web.
Jan-Peter, please contact Phil directly. There is an "Ask Phil" link on
the ICC website and he is pretty diligent about replying. This issue
came up at the last meeting, but was not resolved. The key here is to
have a set a unified tests that can be passed through the workflow for
diagnosis or the wiki just becomes another opinion that can't be
verified.
With regard to the Web issues, I have heard you and we are trying to
convene a meeting with users, web developers and the ICC. This is a lot
of work and it requires a lot of participation by other parties who may,
or may not, be interested in getting a unified, platform independent,
color managed web specification. When I get approval from the
membership and I have a date, I will let you know what we are up to at
the ICC.

Tom Lianza
