Andre,
X-Rite had a application called ToolCrib that allowed measuring arbitrary
targets and saving the output in various formats. You could measure the
target several times and average in MeasureTool or another application.
Measuretool supports weighted averaging in demo mode, useful to reduce the
influence of outlier measurements.
I recommend measuring the target multiple times, because you are trying to
compensate for ink density differences across the patch area. Simply reading
a single area multiple times won't help here.
