Hi Dan,
With the revision to ISO 3664:2009 and the tighter tolerances required
there are no off the shelf tubes that are accurate for color viewing.
There might be people out there that will advocate otherwise but this
simply isn't the case. I'd be happy to talk with you about this in more
detail if you prefer.
Regards,
Eric

Subject: "Hardware Store Tubes"
Hi Forum,
Attempted to find this information searching the ColorSync archives but
that was not as easy as I hoped.
I recall someone reporting on their testing 'off the shelf fluorescent
tubes' for use in colour viewing.
I even recall a screenshot of the specifications printed on the Tube.
Can't find it anywhere on my computer :(
Is there an 'off the shelf fluorescent tube' that performs well?
Thanks in advance,
Dan Wilson
