Steve:
As an in formed Eizo partner, below are a few insights that we can disclose:
Although these two models are very similar in so many ways, most of the subtle differences are incremental and some are philosophical. Eizo has done a great job of addressing print and graphics, so they will of course continue to be strong moving forward with new models for this market. One philosophical shift is to attract other new markets, one of which is video and motion graphics. Therefore the addition of HDMI with HDCP on the CG276W and higher contrast ration (1000:1)
Availability is the biggest current difference. The CG275W is available now. In quantity. The CG276W won't be available until probably at least December time frame.
The CG276W will have a slight improvement with screen uniformity prioritization (this builds onto Eizo's existing technology called DUE... )
The CG276W will have slightly better color and brightness stability. For brightness, there's a bump from 280 cd/m2 for the CG275W to 350 cd/m2 for the CG276W.
Two things we are excited about are: The CG276W will have dual 3D-LUT for more versatile 'in-monitor' simulations. It will also have a new technology that displays gamut clipping visually, at 'monitor-level' . :-)
The CG276W does have a new IPS panel different from the CG275W LG panel. All I can tell you at this point is that it is from a different manufacturer. It has the same core specifications though.
Can't say anymore or they will shoot me.
