Not Andrew, but it only does that if you set the automatic updating in your
Prefs.
Thanks, Bob. I have my LightRoom Catalog Prefs set to "Automatically write
changes into XMP" in the Metadata tab. I assume that is the "automatic
updating" you are referring to? If so, I had it checked already. My friend
says that some of my DNG files come over to him with my custom camera
profiles included and properly assigned, but others do not. I'd think they
all come over correctly, since I have this pref selected and I always
convert my Canon CR2 files to DNG, so no sidecar files are kept on my hard
drive. I'm pretty sure he has this save auto-update pref checked, since we
discussed this awhile back.
In the meantime, I think I will try Andrew's suggestion of doing a 'CMD-S'
or 'Photo > Update DNG Preview & Metadata' before sending my DNG files to
others. I've sent my buddy a file after doing Cmd-S and will see if it
comes over correctly.
Iliah, thanks for the extra info on RPP, copy/paste, etc. I'll play around
with RPP some more when I get the time.

You can just open the raw file or the dng file and copy-paste from the
bottom right pane into a text editor.
